157.0 lbs.
No drops.
My last day of drops was Day 30. I am going out of town next week, so I decided to quit the cycle one week early. The protocol says that when a trip is more than 4 days long, it's best to skip the protocol. Since my trip is at the end of this cycle, I decided to just end it. Going on a low carb diet will be easier than trying to weigh proteins and carry around cold packs with my food.
Day 31 through 33 will be "no drops" days. But, I still have to maintain the 500 calorie diet. On Day 33, I will be able to add two eggs--yippee!!!
It looks like my weight has stabilized around 157.0. So, from the beginning, I lost 18 lbs. in 32 days. From after load, I lost 20.2 lbs. in 30 days. That averages to be about a 2/3 lb. loss each day. Not bad for a jump start.
I started testing my urine for protein with the albumin strips. I had between "trace" and "30mg." Kidney websites state that if it is 30 or higher, then kidney damage may start and further investigation is necessary. So, I am right at that border of non-acceptable levels. I will continue to keep a close eye on this. My ketones tested about "moderate" so I was losing fat. I am going to keep testing both types. If the protein in my urine gets above acceptable levels, then I may have to add carbs sooner than 3 weeks after the cycle.
I am very excited to add vigorous exercise and have more food. Since I went a month without sugar or starch, I think I now have the discipline to limit these foods for life. This was a lot of work. I don't want to ruin all of the effort that I have put forth to lose these 18 lbs.
My goal now is to not gain more than 2 lbs. during the maintenance phase. I think that will be no problem.
